Welcome to our Resource page
from Robert M. Gundermann, President/CEO
On this page you will find links to resources from outside agencies as well as materials developed by the Coalition. We will be rolling out new programs and materials on a regular basis, so I encourage you to check back often!
Before joining the Coalition I had worked for two decades as the Policy Director for both the Alzheimer’s Association and the Alzheimer’s Alliance at different times. In fact, one of the reasons I decided to lead the Coalition is that it allows me to continue helping people with dementia. Currently, I’m doing that by serving on the Wisconsin State Dementia Plan Steering Committee and as a member of the national organization, Leaders Engaged on Alzheimer’s Disease (LEAD). The Coalition is also extremely fortunate to have our very own geriatric nurse on staff, Jeanne Erickson, who has a great deal of expertise in dementia and an incredible dedication to helping people.
The State Plan Steering Committee is comprised of 11 voting members and meets quarterly. DHS and the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread c0-hosted a stakeholder "Dementia Summit" in March 2018 to lay the foundation for the State Plan. An overview of the Summit and its work is included in the document in this link. In addition to the Steering Committee I am serving as the co-chair of the Communications Committee. We will provide links to the Steering Committee website when it is up and running. If you have suggestions as to how we can make the State Dementia Plan better, we would love to hear from you!
